Justin bought Pop art to Singapore. His witty, thoughtful work blends traditional Eastern imagery and techniques with twenty-first-century consumerism and Western icons. Justin had his first solo show in 2003, at the age of 40. Now, seven years on, he has held numerous exhibitions, been commissioned by commercial clients, the Esplanade, the Singapore Art Museum and the National Museum of Singapore among them.
He created four works specifically for Give Art. The works capture his playful nature and are inspired by the idea that Give Art works will chosen by people celebrating joyous occasions. His latest series looks back at forgotten technology such as Bakelite phones and examines how our relationships with technology have evolved.
