A solo exhibition by French - Vietnamese artist Sandrine Llouquet.

 

Llouquet creates modest, delicate drawings and site-specific installations that juxtapose playfulness with the more visceral and violent. Her work is intensely personal and draws on imagery she is surrounded by: herself, her family, the mass media and the Southeast Asian narrative.

Llouquet invites you into her world using small ink drawings, watercolours, works on transparent plexiglass, flash animation and site-specific installations. The work continues Llouquet’s practice transforming herself within the space available. Endlessly adaptable, Llouquet reflects her nomadic existence as one of the Vietnamese Diaspora.

Be prepared to enter the sometimes playful, sometimes darkly primitive world of Sandrine Llouquet. No restrictions, no instructions, no theme, just pure Sandrine.
