Hi Everyone, Thank you for visiting our little gift registry. While your presence at our wedding is already gift enough, we have been asked if there is anything that we need or would like to receive as a gift. To make it a bit easier for those of you who would like to help us celebrate with a gift, we have set up this gift registry. We have our hearts set on this painting which is a traditional chinese symbol for weddings. It is the double happiness symbol for which we think is extremely apt since we are having two wedding celebrations, hence double the happiness! If you look at the image closely, it also looks like two people walking arm in arm with the long horizontal line in the centre representing the arms. The two boxes at the bottom representing the legs and the two boxes on the top representing the heads of the couple. On top of the heads are hats. The image is supposed to convey the idea that a man and woman are meant to go through life together and that every person has a soul mate in the world. We think that is the exact idea on which we would like to start our life together and we thank you in advance for any contributions towards making this lovely piece of art a part of our new home.
