Q: What are Javascript and Cookies?
A: JavaScript is THE scripting language of the Web. Cookies are messages that web servers send to your browser when you visit websites.
JavaScript is used in millions of Web pages to add functionality, validate forms, detect browsers, and much more.
Giveart.net requires Javascript to be enabled and cookies to be accepted in order to function properly.
Cookies from Giveart.net do not store any usernames, email addresses, passwords or any private information.
Cookies from Giveart.net must be allowed / enabled as they are required for the basic functionality of the system. If cookies are not allowed then all main functions will be disabled. As a result you will not be able to "Make a Donation" or "Select an Artwork" or "Create A Gift List" etc.

1. How to enable Javascript in your web browser
If you are using Internet Explorer 7 or 8:
Go to Tools and click on Internet Options
Click on the Security tab
Click Internet and then click Custom Level...
Scroll down to Scripting and select the radio button Enable, then click OK
Click OK, then OK again
Restart your browser and browse to http://giveart.net
If you are using Firefox 3.x:
Go to Tools and select Options
Click on the Content button
Make sure the "Enable Javascript" check-box is checked.
Click on Advanced button and a new tab will appear.
Make sure "Move or resize existing windows" and "Disable or replace context menus" are checked.
Click OK, then OK again
Restart your browser and browse to http://giveart.net
2. How to enable Cookies in your web browser
If you are using Internet Explorer 7 or 8:
Go to Tools and select Internet Options
Under Privacy tab, click Advanced
Ensure that the check-box for "Override automatic cookie handling", is not checked.
Click OK, click Apply and click OK again.
If you are using Firefox 3.x:
Go to Tools and select Options
Click on the Privacy button
Under History, select "Use custom settings for history" in the drop-down menu.
Check the boxes for "acccept cookies from sites" and "accept third-party cookies".
Under Keep until drop down menu, select "until they expire"
Then click OK.
NB: If you wish to use Exceptions, please add http://giveart.net under Address and click Allow.
Then click Close and then OK. This will ensure that only Give Art cookies are allowed.
